The Arkansas River Floods well before the Mississippi River, then recedes and floods again in May.
Today's Floods are restrained by Corps of Engineers' Flood Control Structures (black lines, above)
near and upstream of Arkansas Post, but the March floods are still seen there (see Chart below).
